An
FBI terror alert has been released in the South Pacific for
Wolfgang Bohringer, a German pilot
first identified as a "close associate" of Mohamed Atta
three years ago
in the
MadCowMorningNews and the opening
chapter to
"Welcome to TERRORLAND"
in interviews with
Atta's former American girlfriend, Amanda Keller.
"U.S.
authorities have uncovered a plot to set up a flight training school in
Kiribati and suspect the man behind it may have had links to September 11
mastermind Mohamed Atta," reported the Associated Press.
Bohringer recently fled
tiny Fanning Island in the South Pacific aboard his yacht after a story in
the MadCowMorningNews headlined
"Close Associate of Mohamed Atta Surfaces in South Pacific"
revealed his presence and drew attention to his suspicious intention to
open, on an island with no electricity and barely a hundred inhabitants
more than a thousand miles from a city of any size, a flight school to
train pilots to fly only DC3's.
Before he fled, Bohringer deleted
his
online resume,
which we had cached earlier,
anticipating he might soon attempt to eradicate personal information.
It what may prove to be
a crucial detail, Keller told us that Wolfgang was one of only a few
people whom Atta called “my brother.”
Atta's
American girlfriend proven right... again

Amanda Keller was
identified as Atta's one-time live-in American girlfriend in a story on
September 27,2002 headlined
"Atta, American Girlfriend in Wild Drug & Booze party in Key West.
It is Keller, who lived
for several months with terrorist ringleader Mohamed Atta at the Sandpiper
apartments in Venice, who deserves credit for first identifying Bohringer,
an individual who the FBI now believes may pose a serious threat to this
country, as a close associate of terrorist ringleader Mohamed Atta.
Keller told us a German
pilot named Wolfgang, whose last name she didn't know had been close to
Mohamed Atta for what she said appeared to be, based on their familiarity
with each other, a long time.
Based on personal
information she provided, a subsequent investigation determined the man
she was referring to was Wolfgang Bohringer.
The FBI knows about
Wolfgang Bohringer today because Amanda Keller told us about him four
years ago.
World
catches up to readers of The MadCowMorningNews
A March 20 2003 story
in the MadCowMorningNews first revealed that Wolfgang
Bohringer was a "close associate" of Mohamed Atta:
A year-long MadCowMorningNews investigation
has uncovered evidence that at least seven of Mohamed Atta's closest
associates in Florida during the year leading up to the 9/11 attack were
not Arab, but German.
The names of the seven, all pilots, have
not surfaced in any press accounts of Atta's stay in the U.S., nor has
their existence been mentioned or alluded to in official statements.
Traveling with Atta, or meeting him around
the state, Atta's German friends appeared to share a relationship with
him of long-standing, according to eyewitnesses, dating back to his days
in Hamburg.
The meetings, in places like Key West and
Miami, were apparently very serious business; when they returned, said
someone who was there, Atta and his German associates "always came back
glum."
Islands in the stream
The
story in the South Pacific begins after Bohringer showed on a yacht
up a year ago
at tiny Fanning Island,
tucked away in a far corner of the South Pacific.
Local residents like
Chuck Fanning's suspicions were aroused by Bohringer's announced his
intention to open a flight school
to teach pilots to fly DC3’s, a vintage aircraft much-favored for its
ability to fly into dirt airstrips by pilots carrying
contraband cargo
like weapons and
drugs.
“The FBI is on the trail
of a man with alleged links to one of the 9/11 masterminds after he tried
to set up a pilot training school on a remote island bordering US
territory, despite the island having no
airport or telephones,”
Reporter Barbara Dreaver
of New Zealand network
TVNZ broke the story of the terror alert yesterday: "The isolated Kiribati
islands are grappling with
being catapulted into the world of terrorism. The man causing the alarm is
Wolfgang Bohringer,
who sailed into
Kiribati's Fanning Island a year ago.”
"It's
absolutely gut wrenching frightening," says Fanning Island resident
Chuck Corbett.
A shady cover story, a shadowy suspect

Corbett had gotten in
touch with us two months ago after reading several stories about Bohringer
in the MadCowMorningNews. He is an easy-going but inquisitive American.
From a picture of him we
found on the web, he appears to be something of an old school longboard-type
surfer who may have been a little too young and impressionable when he
first saw the surf movie "Endless Summer."
He told
a frightening tale of automatic weapons, a treasure chest filled with
crisp new hundred dollar bills, and more.
Bohringer said they
mixed frequently together, said Corbett. He explained the connection by
saying that he (Bohringer) owned a flight school beside the airfield where
the 9/11 hijackers trained.
Seven passports and a 'get out of jail free' card
Kiribati
authorities began to investigate Bohringer amid growing suspicions about
his presence there.
What they learned, a
Kiribati government authority told New Zealand reporter Dreaver, was that
“there was maybe a little more to the proposal (to redo a landing strip
and provide air service to the island) than there appeared to be.”
“Then there was the
cash. Lots of it,” according to New Zealand TV. "I would offer to go
shopping for him," says Corbett.
"He would always give me
a $100 bill. Once it was seven $100 bills and they were always crisp and
neat."
For Corbett, who spent
months with Bohringer, things did not add up.
"One particular night he
laid out seven passports on the table,” Corbett said. “I recall one from
Ireland, from the Bahamas, one from Grenada, India, the US, Germany and
one or two others.
The Kiribati government is calling for the US, New Zealand and Australia
to help them with security, reported New Zealand’s Barbara Dreaver.
“New Zealand’s ONE News
spoke to an FBI Agent who confirmed that the FBI is continuing its search
for the mysterious Wolfgang Bohringer, and his cash-laden yacht. They want
answers to why Bohringer would set up a flight school using DC3’s on an
island bordering US waters, and “are very keen to find out where he is.'”
Russian Mob shoots. Russian Mob scores.

Wolfgang Bohringer, we
discovered, had been the personal pilot of Victor Kozeny, a
Russian Mob-connected international swindler currently awaiting
extradition to the U.S. from the Bahamas on charges of stealing more than
$150 million from U.S. investors.
One of those investors
“just happens” to be former Majority Leader of the Senate of
the United States, and roving ambassador, George Mitchell.
So here's the real
scoop:
A close associate of
Mohamed Atta’s in Florida was flying, at the same time he was "hangin’
with Mohamed," for a Russian Mob-connected ‘oligarch’ reported to control
(after the demise of Communism)
fully one-third
of the entire economy of the nation of Czechoslovakia.
In some places, this
might be called “news.”
You didn't see what you thought you saw. See?
Four years ago the
MadCowMorningNews began reporting suppressed news from the
terrorist hijackers base of operations in Venice, FL on the activities and
associates of Mohamed Atta and his Hamburg cadre.
One of the
crucial discoveries of our investigation, that among the terrorist
ringleader’s close associates in Florida could be numbered a half-dozen
decidedly non-Arab German, Swiss, and Austrian nationals--was confirmed
yesterday by the FBI.
But there are a lot more.
